David A. Royce, ACAS, MAAA, FCA

Mr. Royce is the Director of IBC’s Actuarial Practice. He joined the firm in July 2012.

His areas of practice include advising on the formation and ongoing operation of alternative risk financing solutions, the certification of loss reserve and funding requirements, commercial and professional lines ratemaking, risk transfer analysis and financial modeling. In addition to public, healthcare and commercial entities, Mr. Royce’s clients include select insurance and reinsurance companies.

Mr. Royce began his career with a group of property and casualty insurance companies, rising to the senior actuarial role at that group, before becoming an independent consultant in 1989. Most recently, Mr. Royce held an executive position at a prominent actuarial consulting firm.

Mr. Royce is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (FCA). He has served on both the Medical Professional Liability Committee and Workers’ Compensation Committee of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Royce holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
