Lori E. Ussery

Lori is an Actuarial Consultant with IBC, providing actuarial reserve analyses, loss projections, and other analytical support for IBC’s clients.

Lori has over twenty (20) years of experience in actuarial consulting for both traditional and alternative insurance programs, working primarily with self-insured companies. She is experienced in analyzing traditional and non-traditional property and casualty risks and presenting technical actuarial concepts to clients in an easy-to-understand manner. Her expertise with captives involves preparing loss forecasts and pro-forma financial statements in support of captive feasibility studies, reserve analyses for year-end financial reporting, and actuarial review of captive insurance companies for multiple domiciles.

Lori serves as President of the Society of Risk Management Consultants and is the recent Chair of the Membership, Marketing, and Communication Committee for the Tennessee Captive Insurance Association. She has attended various industry conferences such as CICA, CIGNJ, RIMS, SCCIA, SRMC, TCIA, VCIA, presented at CICA and TCIA, and authored industry articles and other educational support material.

Lori graduated from Lipscomb University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Prior to joining IBC, Lori was an actuarial consultant at an independent property and casualty actuarial consulting firm and an actuarial analyst at a large insurance brokerage company.
