Welcoming New Shareholders and Board Members

Insurance Buyers’ Council is proud to announce an important step forward in our journey as a firm. We have expanded ownership in IBC to include several of our long-time colleagues, reflecting their dedication to our clients and the company's future.

Joining Chris Franki and Steve Fallon as shareholders and members of the Board of Directors are: Elizabeth Avery, Anna Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Chris Anderson, and Lori Ussery. In addition, Elizabeth has been elected Secretary of the Board, and Ric Schultz has been named Chairman Emeritus. Together, this expanded Board brings diverse expertise and leadership that will help guide IBC into the next chapter of growth.

We are excited about the energy, talent, and vision these changes bring, and we look forward to continuing to serve our clients with excellence and integrity.

Celebrating Ric’s Continued Role at IBC

After many years of dedicated leadership as a shareholder and member of our Board of Directors, Ric has stepped down from the Board and transitioned his ownership in IBC.

While this marks a change in his role, Ric will continue as a part-time employee and valued member of our team. His knowledge, perspective, and deep care for our clients and colleagues remain a cornerstone of IBC.

In recognition of his many contributions, the Board has named Ric Chairman Emeritus. We’re grateful for his leadership and his ongoing commitment to the people and mission of IBC.

IBC is celebrating 75 years of independent advisory services.

Since 1948, IBC has been providing risk management advisory services to clients.  Our team has changed over the years but our core goal has remained the same – help clients navigate the complexities of insurance by offering independent consulting advice.  In addition to our focus on the property and casualty insurance components of risk management, we have broadened our services to include pooling and group insurance, employee benefits and actuarial services. We have been fortunate to maintain numerous long term client engagements and we appreciate their trust and confidence in IBC.  We also look forward to continuing our ongoing relationships and building new ones in the future, as IBC remains committed to serving as a client advocate.

Scott Agar has retired from IBC

COCKEYSVILLE, MD – OCTOBER 1, 2022 –The IBC team would like to congratulate Scott Agar on his retirement effective October 1, 2022. His excellent work as a Principal Consultant has aided in pushing the company forward since 1989.

Christopher Anderson has been promoted to Consultant

COCKEYSVILLE, MD – IBC would like to announce the promotion of Christopher Anderson from Associate Consultant to Consultant. Since joining the firm is 2018, Mr. Anderson has completed both his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. The IBC team would like to congratulate Chris for his hard work and dedication to his role at IBC.

Angela Hubbard is now a Technical Analyst within the Employee Benefits division

COCKEYSVILLE, MD – Angela Hubbard, previously an Administrative Assistant, has been promoted to Technical Analyst within the Employee Benefits division. Angela joined IBC in 2014 and has grown her skills from performing daily operational tasks in an administrative role, to developing and perfecting her analytical and technical role, becoming an integral part of the Employee Benefits Practice. The IBC team would like to congratulate her on her initiative spirit and hard work.

Elizabeth Avery has been promoted to Consultant
